About the company

Flint Group is the second-largest manufacturer of printing inks and varnishes worldwide (after Sun Chemical), with a dedicated focus on UV-curable + UV-LED dual-curing inks and coatings for the printing, packaging and label industry. Group HQ in St Helier (Jersey, Channel Islands), formed in 2005 from the merger of XSYS Print Solutions (originally formed by CVC Capital Partners in 2004 from ANI + BASF Printing Systems) and Flint Ink Corporation (a US printing-inks tradition since 1920, Detroit). Today: 5,000+ employees, 80 manufacturing and service sites in 32 countries, EUR 1.4 bn revenue (2025). Later acquisitions expanded the portfolio with Day International (2007), Xeikon Digital Press (2015) and multiple US/UK ink houses (2016). The Russian business was discontinued in 2022 following the Ukraine invasion. Energy-curable (UV/EB) technology is the core growth line as a low-chemistry, faster-curing alternative to solvent and water-based inks.
