GS Yuasa Lighting Service designs and manufactures UV irradiation systems, UV lamps and UV-LED irradiation devices, having taken over the UV irradiation-system business from the GS Yuasa group. Its UV heritage traces to predecessor Nihon Denchi's 1940 domestic development of a super-high-pressure mercury lamp. Products are used as production equipment to cure inks, coatings and resists, and the company supplies replacement parts and after-sales service for installed UV systems.
