About the company
Nikkiso is a Japanese industrial group that has, since 2006, developed and commercialized deep UV-LEDs as a dedicated business line within its broader pumps, precision-equipment, aerospace and medical operations. Its DUV-LED products target water disinfection, air purification and analytical applications; the VPS173 series of 50 mW deep-UV LEDs (around 285 nm) reached general availability in January 2025. Nikkiso sold its US disinfection-systems subsidiary AquiSense in 2025 but continues to manufacture and advance its own deep UV-LED chip/package technology.
