OMRON Corporation, headquartered in Kyoto and established in 1933, manufactures UV-LED curing systems within its industrial-automation business. It was an early adopter of UV-LED light sources, releasing the ZUV Series smart curing system in 2005 to replace lamp-based irradiation. The mercury-free UV-LED systems are used to cure UV adhesives bonding optical and structural components in electronics and digital-appliance manufacturing, with LED lifetimes around 40,000 hours.
