Siegwerk Druckfarben AG & Co. KGaA is the third-largest printing-ink manufacturer worldwide (after Sun Chemical and Flint Group), a family business now in its 6th Keller generation, HQ in Siegburg (North Rhine-Westphalia). Origin 1830 as "Rolffs & Poensgen", a manufacturing trading house in Cologne (Christian Gottlieb Rolffs + his brother-in-law); in 1851 the calico-print workshop was relocated to Siegburg. In 1911 Alfred Keller (father + son) and Fritz Rung founded the "Siegwerk Chemisches Laboratorium" for copperplate-rotogravure inks — the root of today's brand. In 1999 Alfred Keller IV took over the management as 6th generation from Hans Alfred Keller. Global business units: flexible packaging, sheet-fed offset & UV (dedicated UV-curing line), paper & cardboard, tobacco, labels, beverage packaging, illustration rotogravure. Specialised in UV-curing inks for offset/flexo + UV-LED inks for the packaging industry. No IPO — remains fully family-owned.

"Rolffs & Poensgen" manufactured goods in Cologne founded (1830)
In 1830 Christian Gottlieb Rolffs together with his brother-in-law founded the manufactured goods trade "Rolffs & Poensgen" in Cologne. Out of the company's calico print shop later emerged today's Siegwerk Druckfarben AG & Co. KGaA. In 1851 the printing inks business was relocated to Siegburg — today's HQ location.

In 1911 Alfred Keller (father) + son together with Fritz Rung founded "Siegwerk Chemisches Laboratorium" for copper rotogravure printing inks — birth of today's Siegwerk brand. Conscious decision to specialize in printing inks (rather than general manufactured goods trading).

In 1999 Alfred Keller IV took over as 6th owner generation the management of Siegwerk Druckfarben from his father Hans Alfred Keller. The company has been in Keller family hands for 6 generations since 1830 — one of Germany's oldest family-run industrial businesses.
