Arthrosporen auf Agar-Oberfläche, Niederdruck-Hg 254 nm — Erreger der Sauerfäule (sour rot) bei Zitrus, Tomate, Karotte; gleichzeitig erwünschte Reifekultur auf Weißschimmel-Käse (Camembert/Brie-Rinde) und häufiger Quark-/Joghurt-Verderbskeim ("machinery mold" in Molkereien). Vergleichsweise UV-empfindlich für einen Pilz.
